What Will You Do With the Hard Thing

The sermon explored the profound moment in John 6 when Jesus reduced the crowd with requirement rather than attraction. After feeding 5,000 people, Jesus gave them a "hard saying" about eating His flesh and drinking His blood—a call to total commitment that caused many to walk away. When Jesus turned to the twelve and asked, "Will you also go away?" He was really asking: "What will you do with the hard thing?" This message challenges us to examine whether we truly still want what God has called us to when we discover the cost. Many of us desire the anointing until we see the crushing, want the championship until we face the sacrifice, and pursue God's will until it requires what we love most. The sermon reminds us that God's greatest gifts often arrive disguised—strength as resistance, wisdom as failure, promotion as preparation, and victory as warfare.
